Pleasure Magic & the Shadow
The phrase "shadow work" can bring a chill down the spine of beginner witches and experienced practitioners alike. But working with the shadow doesn't need to be painful; indeed, truly embracing the shadow is often a deeply pleasurable experience. Rather than driving out the darkness with light, we must learn to see the bitter wisdom that it offers us. This beginner-friendly workshop will explore the various interpretations of "the shadow," and offer the framework of pleasure witchcraft as a means of self-exploration. Participants will learn practical, embodied, trauma-responsive tools for safely experiencing fear and anxiety, and be guided through a basic exercise for beginning shadow work.
