Embodied Astroherbalism: Planting Seeds of Divine Relationships
Since time immemorial, humans have looked to celestial bodies and their movements to make meaning of the events that occur here on Earth. For just as long, we have turned to plants as teachers, medicinal allies, and companions as we navigate Earthly existence. Wondrously, there’s an almost-as-ancient history of humans making connections between celestial bodies and their verdant counterparts and vice versa.

As we deliberately engage with the inherent connections that exist between the earthly and the celestial, we are offered an opportunity to experience healing that is so deeply profound it’s nearly impossible to describe. Beyond healing, relating with the unseen spirits of plants and planets through each other actively contributes to a magically lived life. Embodied Astroherbalism is an invitation to this path of healing and magic through the lens of animistic astrological herbalism.

Astroherbalism provides us with a language to understand ourselves and our intrinsic interconnectedness with the world around us. This way of seeing the world offers us a sense of deep belonging – reminding us that we are both celestial and earthly; that we are not separate from nature, but rather we are a part of it. By connecting with plants and planets, we learn about the importance of being a human who cares for the world around us and what is possible when we are cared for by the world in turn.

This workshop reveals the possibilities within the mystery of plants and planets through embodied relationship. Magical practitioners in particular will find their practices robustly supported by developing this relational perspective with plants & their planets beyond standard correspondence lists. Participants will gain a foundational understanding of the seven traditional planets and how to engage with them through their emblematic plants. They will also learn about the depths of human relationship with our plant kin and celestial beings throughout history, explore the wisdom to be gained from connecting with the natural world, and learn practical ways to access the vast healing that is possible when we reclaim our place as interconnected beings in the wondrous web of life that is our cosmos.
